Meet the Team: Amber Bakker

Who are the people that work at Voerman Group? How does a day in their lives look like? And what drives them to work within the moving and relocation industry? In this series of articles, we put some of our enthusiastic employees in the spotlight. This time: Amber Bakker, 25 years old and working as an International Relocation Coordinator at Voerman Group since May 2022.

Using my own experiences in my daily work life

Amber works as an International Relocation Coordinator in the Eurohome team, meaning she assists individuals or families in settling in while moving to a new country. Due to Amber’s studies, International Hotel Management, she has spent several periods abroad as well. “I have moved to New Zealand and Finland while studying, so I have firsthand experience in relocating”. She remembers how much she appreciated those who helped her. This is what drives her in her daily work life to make sure that relocating people feel at home soon.

Massages and weekly bootcamps

The people at Voerman Group are very positive and hardworking. Everybody likes to help and motivate others. What Amber also likes about working at Voerman is the care about the employee’s well being. “It’s in the small things such as the massages on Tuesday and the weekly bootcamp class”. “I also liked the Sinterklaas celebration we had with the Eurohome team. We ordered lots of Indian food and exchanged secret Santa gifts while enjoying plenty of wine and kruidnoten. This was only one of the many fun team outings we have had, with many more to come!”

A driver’s license and travels in 2023

Amber has great expectations for the Voerman Group in 2023. “My goal is to customize our services to better fit the needs of our assignees on an individual level”. On a personal note, Ambers likes to travel (preferable somewhere warm) and spend quality time with friends and family. Her personal new year’s resolution for 2023 will be to obtain her driver’s license, as she has been putting it off for too long now.
