Meet the Team: Andrea Bosvelt
Published on 5 June 2023Meet the Team: Andrea Bosvelt
Who are the people that work at Voerman Group? How does a day in their lives look like? And what drives them to work within the moving and relocation industry? In this series of articles, we put some of our enthusiastic employees in the spotlight. This time: Andrea Bosvelt, 29 years old and working as a Move Coordinator for Transpack.
From Emmen to Rotterdam
Andrea started at Voerman Group in January this year. She was looking for a job within logistics; but one that also involves working with people. The nice connection she felt with our Transpack colleagues during the interviews made the choice even more easy.
Andrea has lived in Rotterdam for almost two years now. However, she was born in Emmen and studied in Groningen: both cities in the northern part of The Netherlands. “Once a month I go to Emmen or Groningen to see my friends and family for the weekend. I have one older sister who has two little girls. I really like being their crazy aunt.”
Working for the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations
Andrea is currently employed as a move coordinator at Transpack, primarily working for the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations between the Netherlands and the Netherlands Antilles. Additionally, she assists her colleagues with other moves whenever possible and necessary.
What I find most enjoyable about this job is the fact that no two days are the same. Furthermore, you are genuinely helping people move forward in their lives, quite literally. “I had a client who was nice and very chatty from the start of the move. The client went to Kralendijk (port of Bonaire) to see the boat and container arrive. She took pictures of the whole event and sent them to me afterwards to give me an impression as well. Very kind!”
Innovative company culture
Voerman is a family company, and you can also sense that in the workplace. Everyone is open and ready to assist you. Moreover, I truly believe that Voerman pays significant attention to its employees and their ambitions or growth plans. This culture makes Voerman unique and aligns with what I am looking for in a job.
“What gives me energy everyday is the openness and willingness of everyone to make sure that the clients and accounts are getting the best options by helping each other with questions and making things possible.”
