Voerman wins NEI Corporate Responsibility Award
Published on 5 November 2019Voerman International Moving Services and Eurohome Relocation Services are pleased to announce that it has earned a Corporate Responsibility Award from NEI Global Relocation (NEI). The award recognizes a service partner in multiple categories who best demonstrates its corporate responsibility related to community involvement, philanthropy, environmental sustainability and/or corporate governance.
Businesses today have a responsibility to a broader constituency than ever before and this includes the people and environments of the communities in which they operate,” said Kate Dodge, SCRP, NEI Chairman. “Corporate outreach to the community and employee involvement provides internal leadership opportunities as well and we want to recognize our partners who mirror NEI’s value and commitment to the communities where we live and work.
Matt Andrisani, Voerman International and Eurohome Relocation Services Global Key Account Manager, was delighted and humbled to accept the NEI Corporate Social Responsibility on behalf of the Voerman International and Eurohome Relocation Services Teams. Matt said ‘we believe our work supporting the communities in which we operate and those who are less fortunate than others, is important and humane work. We are delighted to see that our efforts supporting the ‘Only Friends Sports Club’ in the Netherlands has been selected and recognized by NEI Global Relocations at the NEI Global Partner Summit in Omaha, Nebraska.’
The Voerman Foundation is dedicated to supporting Social Values in the communities in which we operate. We believe that children are the future and that each child deserves the opportunity to grow in life and achieve their dreams and ambitions. Sports play a significant role in the Voerman Company life and it is our fundamental belief that a healthy company is an active and a fun company. To support our belief in both children and sports, the Voerman Foundation has elected to support the ‘Only Friends’ charity which combines both.
Dennis Gebbink, founder of Only Friends, discovered that his son Myron, who has a physical disability, could not join a regular soccer club. That is why, in 2000, Dennis founded a sports club, Only Friends, for disabled kids and youngsters. It started by providing training to eight boys. Through hard work and endless love, the Only Friends sports club has become a full sports center with 750 members which is able to offer 25 kinds of sports. Myron is one of the trainers now.
